I like getting involved from the beginning — understanding the problem, talking to the people who use the product, shaping the direction and turning ideas into journeys, flows, prototypes and polished interfaces.
I'm comfortable working with stakeholders and product teams, as well as getting into the detail with engineers to make sure ideas can actually work in the real world. I enjoy that part of the process: taking something that might be complex or unclear and working with a team to make it simpler.
AI is a particular area of interest for me. I've designed AI-powered experiences for organisations including American Express and the Royal Navy, as well as an AI assistant for musicians. I'm interested not just in what AI can do, but in how we make it useful, intuitive and genuinely human-centred.
Accessibility is also a big part of how I approach design. I don't see it as something to add at the end of a project. It should be considered from the start. My experience includes designing accessible healthcare and public-service experiences, alongside formal training in accessibility.
Whether I'm designing an AI product, simplifying a complex healthcare journey or working on a new digital service, I'm interested in the same thing:
Making technology feel more useful, more accessible and more human.
